3D Battle for Terra - coming to theaters May 1st

I'm so excited to hear there's a major hollywood movie coming out in May with a green conscious message. Has anyone heard of Terra?
I found it here: www.battleforterra.com

It looks like it'll be 3D which sounds awesome. So many coming out lately.

Looks as though it has great animation, and more importantly a great message. Kudos for hollywood! (LionsGate) I hope this starts a new trend of green conscious movies from the big guys!

Geez! I just checked who's in it and it looks like it's an all star cast: Evan
Rachel Wood, Brian Cox, Luke Wilson, David Cross, Justin Long, Amanda Peet, Dennis Quaid, James Garner, Chris Evans, Rosanna Arquette and Chad Allen! (whew, that was a mouthful!)

Hope it's a good one!

Our little micro-budget horror film spoof needs a dedicated costume & makeup coordinator. Most shoot days will be on weekends. We're all in it for the fun and the name in the credits, so that's all we can offer you. I think once you see the script though, you will want to be part of this fun project. Shooting will take place in the Napa/Vallejo/Oakland range. Shoot me a PM and we can talk more. Shooting starts around April, but we want to be ready to roll as soon as possible (Mid March ideally).

Hey guys, here is my first attempt at a 'special effects" movie. It's a tribute to all of the over-the-top blockbuster movies with crazy effects. I didn't have access to a green screen studio, so I just shot everything in my apartment and had to rotoscope (trace) all the characters frame by frame to get them all in the same shot. Take a look and let me know what you think:

Interested in Astrology?

Learn About Astrology (and Yourself) in Trade for Motion Graphics Expertise
(Project in NYC)

About Us: James L. Neal has been studying astrology for over 30 years, and has developed a unique style of teaching the "science of astrology," one that is much more in-depth than any pop-culture newspaper column. He has focused on making astrology accessible to everyone. Astrology is one of the most effective self-help tools we have, so from a foundation of classes, speaking engagements and personal consultations, James produced his audio CD, "What is Astrology? Astrology at Your Own Pace.” And in order to enhance the effectiveness of this self-help tool, he is now looking to add visuals to the audio of that CD.

Job Description: This project is a "labor of love" and the ideal candidate should be passionately interested to learn about astrology in exchange for their expertise in motion graphics. We are looking for someone who is willing to contribute their expertise to this exciting project. And, in return, they will not only learn about astrology, but also about themselves. We are seeking to complete a 90 minute DVD which will be a mix of motion graphics, animation and live video, designed to instruct viewers and educate them about the science of astrology. There is a lot of potential for this to be an extremely creative and visually exciting DVD that would be a great portfolio piece! Please send a resume and cover letter to Lectureman12@aol.com

Required Skills: Proficiency in the following graphic and animation software on a MAC platform: Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, AfterEffects, Cinema4D & Final Cut Pro. Also, must be dedicated, respectful, and committed to the project from beginning through to the end.

if you recommend to study, then where?
is it true that the most recognizable schools are in LA?

i will be very thankfull for other generic advices

thank you and have a nice happy day

Workshop: Website Tools and Marketing Strategies! Saturday, February 9th

Lady Jay says:
United Divas is working with Social Creature to present our first workshop for creative entrepeneurs. If you are at that place where you are trying to figure out how to make your website work for you and attract more visitors who return more than once, this is just what you need. This won't design your website for you, but you will walk away knowing exactly what you need to do in order to make it happen. After years and years of friends asking both of us these questions, we realized that a workshop would be the best way to provide answers at a price much more reasonable than a one-on-one consultation. So, two thumbs up from me, especially if you are one of the people who hits me up regularly on ways to improve your business and online presence.

Jenka says:

Dear Friends,

It is a pleasure to announce that I will be leading a workshop on February 9th to help creative professionals make more effective websites.

After working on scores of websites, I've noticed that musicians, artists, and creative entreprenuers in general tend to share the same requirements for an effective website, and very often make the same mistakes when creating one. Many folks have approached me for advice on how they can enhance or improve their sites, and so it's with great excitement that I have decided to do a workshop to share my insight and expertise. My goal is to make sure attendees gain an understanding of the options, strategies, and resources at their disposal for creating an online presence that will help move their business forward, and leave ready to start implementing them right away.

More information on the workshop and tickets can be found at:
www.social-creature.com/workshop <www.social-creature.com/workshop>

Feel free to pass this on to anyone you think would benefit from the information.

I look forward to seeing you on February 9th!

All the best,
simple animation software on mac?

i humbly appeal to your expertise...

i am looking for some simple 2D animation software for mac OSX that will let me draw things (like crude looking animals and planets etc.), animate those drawings (e.g. have a giraffe float through space or move across a landscape etc.), and sync it all to music.

kind of like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yihq8BIhL9c

but with the option of moving the drawings around

i have zero animation experience.

Thanks!

The Smell of Good Audio

I'm considering buying a microphone.

First of all, I can't afford a thousand-dollar mic. The local music shop has a couple of deals and I'd like to know if anyone has any thoughts on them.

This is what I'll use the mics for:

Voiceovers
Usually simple voiceovers. Maybe sometimes loud screaming stuff, maybe whispers. ADR, or just plain voiceovers.

Effects recording
I will probably be recording a lot of the sound effects for movies, including the occasional bit of foley, or crunching sounds, slurping sounds, stuff like that. A lot of what I do has fantasy or horror elements in it, as well as special and weird ambient sounds in rooms.

So...

One deal the local music store offers is the following mic for $100:
http://www.google.com/search?&q=Nady+RSM4

The other deal is a dual-mic pack for $80:
http://www.google.com/search?&q=MXL+990/991

Suggestions? Observations? Recommendations?

Local movie makers Kelp Entertainment are proud to unveil their new detective mystery in a free Noir-themed bash and public screening at 12 Galaxies on the evening of August 7th, 8:00 P.M.

Set in San Francisco, 1948, “The Smiling Man” tells the story of down-on-his-luck private detective Nick Chambers (Chris Hudak) as he tracks down a missing man with only a single lead to work from - a photograph of his grinning quarry. Without even a name to go on, Nick begins a citywide hunt for this mysterious missing person, but finds more questions than answers. Based on the short story written by Keoni Chavez, originally published in the anthology “Fog City Nocturne”, and directed by B.J. West, The Smiling Man pays loving homage to the classic detective films of the forties, while adding a decidedly post-modern slant.

The centerpiece of the evening will be two screenings of “The Smiling Man”, each lasting 37 minutes, once in vintage black and white, and later in color. Many members of the cast and crew will be on hand to share anecdotes and answer questions.

Zelda Gale and the Tuxedo Junkies will keep the joint swinging between screenings, and guests can compete in a “Liar’s Dice” tournament for valuable prizes. Refreshments will be available for purchase at 12 Galaxies’ bar.

1940’s clothing is encouraged, but by no means required.

And all of ye are keen for animation and filmmaking. Excellent!

What do you like doing? Computer 2D animation? Flash? 3D animation? Claymation®? Hand-drawn animation? Short films? What?

Let's see what sort of folks are hanging around in these parts.

I'll start with myself...

Most of the animation I've done is pretty simple cut-out type animation, 2D stuff. I use Premiere and After Effects. Never used Flash -- tried once and it just didn't click with me. Don't know why. Did a whole 2D animated feature using, basically, detailed cutouts. Lots of fun. Also like making short movies, usually allegories and such, or just strange ideas that come to me. Also run a workshop every year up in Seattle called "Let's Make a Movie!" where everybody who shows up to the workshop participates and we make a movie in a ridiculously short amount of time. Been doing that for seven or eight years. Most of those are comedies or parodies, because that's the sort of thing people like making.

What do YOU like doing? Next! 8)

hi,

I'm making a short 5-7 min film set in Second Life. So, I'm looking for SL players for acting, scripting, free usage of locations/sets that they own.

I'm also looking for music/sounds composers to create sound for the film (outside of SL).

thanks!

My buddies and I are running a li'l film festival at Norwescon (http://www.norwescon.org) and we're looking for submissions!

If you've never ben to Norwescon, it's a lot of fun. It's a sci-fi convention held in Seattle WA every year. We run a moviemaking workshop there, called "Let's Make a Movie!". Here are some of the results of previous workshops: http://www.eskimo.com/~rkj/norwescon.htm

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Please feel free to pas this around to any moviemaking buddies, if you like.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Here's the rules:

1. Filmmakers must be Norwescon members and should be present at the convention to introduce their movie(s)

2. Movies should be ten minutes or shorter.

3. Movies should be appropriate genre films for Norwescon (sci-fi, fantasy, horror). If it addresses this year's theme, even better.

4. Submissions should be on VHS videotape or DVD-R or MiniDV tape 5. There will probably be no prizes, but the judges urge you to not consider this a deterrent to the occasional bribe. Pop-Tarts, for example.

6. Entries should be sent to The Fandance Film Festival c/o Guerrilla Productions, 11105 SW Cottonwood Lane, Tigard, OR 97223. Please do NOT send submissions to any other address, as no one will know what to do with them.

7. Submission deadline is March 13, 2006. Submission fee: none. Late deadline is April 1, 2006. Late submissions may be treated scornfully. Late submission fee: a very good excuse. Handwritten.

8. All entries must include submitter's name, address, phone number, title of piece, length of piece, and a signed and dated statement declaring "I release all rights to broadcast/display/present this movie to Norwescon for the purposes of the Fandance Film Festival and other supporting situations/advertisement ONLY, including the right to duplicate it for mechanical/projection purposes.", and anything else you think we should know. Entries can be picked back up at the film festival.

9. The people running this film festival are fairly responsible, but imperfect, being composed entirely of meat. Therefore, they might make mistakes. In fact, they probably will. I mean, it's Sunday after a long con, so you should just expect a bit of goofing around. But we're doing our best, so please understand and have a little patience.

Premiere ?...what's up with the jitters?

HI...I'm a newcomer to video editing and your tribe, with a history of 3d Studio Max,3d animation and motion capture experience.

I'm using Premiere Pro 1.5 and importing from dvd's. When I output the file (exported at 740x480) it "jitters". The sound file is fine. I've noticed that certain layers in the edit will jitter and others will not. I haven't encountered that problem with other editing programs. And its not jittering within Premiere, or after the importing of it.

Any ideas?

Many thanks!

SFX/Animators needed for amateur zombie movie

Flesh of my Flesh needs you!

It's a low-budget action horror movie that looks like a million bucks! Flesh of my Flesh (http://www.FleshOfMyFlesh.com/) chronicles the last hours of the War of the Undead, told from the point of view of the people stuck in the middle.

We're deep in post-production now and we're looking for a handful of very short special visual effects. Basically, there are some key seconds here and there where we could REALLY use a trick of lighting, a flash of inspiration, a dash of rotoscoping, the barest flicker of 3d or even the occasional wire erased. The pieces are rarely more than a second or two long, so the committment isn't that great per piece.

As payment, we can offer our profound gratitude, screen credit, and a copy of the DVD when it's finished.

What kind of schedule are we looking at? Well, the nice thing is that the assignments are all short and are designed to be distributed, so you can take your time and do the great job you've always wanted to do.

A little bit about us: Guerrilla Productions has been making movies since 1999. In 2003, we premiered our first feature, "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath" (which was also anim) and shortly thereafter released it on DVD. It is now in its second printing. In 2004, we released our second DVD, "The Cosmic Horror Fun-Pak". "Flesh of my Flesh" will probably be our third DVD. So, it WILL be produced (in case you were wondering).

Ideally, you'll have some kind of experience with your tools of choice (we really don't care, as long as the files can ultimately be imported into Adobe Premiere, which means damn near any delivery format -- heck, you could send us a collection of sequential bitmaps if need be!), and be willing to ask questions and be eager to try new things. Each scene is a unique and cool piece of this movie.

If you're interested, please drop our CG Supervisor, Leopoldo, a note, at Leopoldo@FleshOfMyFlesh.com, or ask questions here, if you like.

SFX monkey,

Hi all,

I have been recently charged with making a 2 second spot. It is supposed to look like an old 50's weather animation of a storm cloud. Arrows moving to show air flow.

I have After Effects, Photosop and Blender to work with.

I am mainly concerned with the arrow motion, got any clues on how to proceed?

Hello all. Sorry you have not heard from me in a bit but I have been out of it. I had food poisoning recently and was sicker than a zombie dog. I have never been that sick in my life!! At any rate we are shooting a scene this coming weekend in Las cruces for the farmhouse scene. If you remember this is the one where the daughter of the farmer does battle with the zombies and loses. This will also involove the zombie dog Chigger puppet.I am going to collect his fur today and he should be finished today or tommorow. I will also be doing the final storyboarding for the scene as well. I leave thursday the 30th for Las Cruces. The shooting however is on December 2 and 3. If you can make it, you will have to find a place to stay. I am staying with the farmers at the farmhouse. We have zombies down there already. Stephen Eckles willl be going down and staying in a hotel to help us out and to be a zombie. If you can make it, let me know now so that I know who will be crewing and I will also know how many zombies we have available. This is not short notice for it has been stated before and it is also on our Yahoo group calendar. What we need in Cruces is crew and zombies. Let me know. Well, I am off to go buy fur. Have a great day!

Beginning in March next year, we are inviting 9 people to cruise from Bodrum, Turkey along the Turkish coast, Cyprus, Athens, Alexandria on a share expenses basis (very, very inexpensive). We began a documentary in Paris and Turkey last year, and now as it gets warmer in Turkey we are going to complete it. We have a US distributor, and everyone involved will share in profits. It could be quite profitable for you and a real life changer. We are in pre-production of three others...one on black jazz in Paris after WWII until now. We have a Turkish captain/crew/cook on our 70' Gulet, 6 double staterooms still available, all with their own head (toilet and shower). Qualifications? Simply to be able to get along with people. Age? Our producer is 60, our editor is 25. Age inmaterial if you are young in spirit. If you have video experience (HD MiniDV PAL and Final Cut Pro, writing) all the better, but we are doing this to perhaps expand the focus of our documentary which is based on the mystical aspects of Alexander the Great - Title: Force of Evidence. Creative people get free reign as long as they don't sink the ship or the project. We are interested to add some human interest...profound, provocative, funny...to the program, so film making experience in not a requirement. Come for a week or two months. Email me for details.

Glide cam v-16(fast operation)

I just bought a Glide cam V-16...So far so good...I just got it in yesterday so I'm not too familiar with it...Dose anyone that has experience operating these have any tips for quick set up(Balancing, quick release plate?) and break down of the unit...I'm looking to be able to use the glide cam, then switch to the tripod and still have the option of going back to the glide cam(quickly if possiable)...And I'm sure you probably know if you've bought anything from glide cam, they don't give you much in the way of hardware options for mounting...Right now in order for me to mount/dismount the cam I have to remove the main(sled)plate and weight plates(moving it out of balance) and then screw the cam in/out, then redo the plates and adjustments to get it balanced right...There's gotta be a quicker way!!!!....Thanx all....one
Shaun Crawford-

Help bring an indie film to the big screen...

Hi,

I'm helping to promote the indie film, East Broadway. The writer/director/star, Fay Ann Lee, is working hard right now to get a distribution deal to get the film in theaters and needs emails to print and take along to a meeting with a distributor THIS Wednesday (10/18/06). If you have a moment, please check out the website: http://www.eastbroadwaythemovie.com and if the film appeals to you, please follow the instructions below from an email Fay recently sent out. Also, even if the film is not your cup of tea, please, please pass this info along to anyone whom you think might like it!

Thanks a million.
E.S. Putnam

****

EB is now at a critical juncture. We've been approached by an interested distributor who is asking me to show them a fan base. So, here is how you can help --

Tell 5 of your friends about East Broadway and ask them to check out the website. If they think this film is something they might enjoy, have them write to eastbroadwaymovie@gmail.com to tell us that. We need to show that this is a movie with broad appeal. If I get enough support through word-of-mouth, we will be able to get this movie released. But time is of the essence. I need to basically print out a ton of e-mails in the next 4 days so that I can take them to a meeting early next week.

And, if you can, please write to us with the following important information:

1. Where are you from? (so that we can show where else other than NY/L.A. we would release the film)
2. Why does this film appeal to you?
3. Do you think this film would be appealing to your friends and family?
4. Tell your friends to keep introducing the film to 5 friends and have them write to us at eastbroadwaymovie@gmail.com

Again, your e-mails have been a wonderful surprise and so very much welcomed. This grassroots campaigning becomes the most important marketing strategy of all for independent films, so thank you all for being a huge part of this momentum.

Many many thanks,
Fay Ann Lee

3d effects and animation artists needed

I am directing an animated short film, the characters are licensed from successful published books so we have an instant audience. I need artists to model and texture more characters and sets, as well as find animators who understand squash and stretch animation to assist me in completing this independant project.
The project is based in NYC, and the main software is Maya, though fur and other specialties will be needed too, zbrush a big plus.
I have access to workstations and a renderfarm, please contact me if you are interested so I can set up an interview.

This project will be put through the animation and film festivals and brought to all major studios in the hopes of funding the feature based on the 10 minute short.

Skilled editor seeking inspiring collaborations (I will edit your movie/video for free!)

I am currently working as a video editor at a fully equipped post production studio in Estonia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estonia ). Corporate editing has left me a little unfulfilled, so I am looking for a challenging and inspiring project to work on in my free time using various nle and compositing tools.
Whether you have a load of raw PAL footage that you never got around to editing, or an ingenious screenplay, or simply an amazing idea for a sketch or a music video, let's touch base!
If your input is particularly driving, I may even be able to recruit the help of our studio's 3d guru & audio pros to bring the project to the best possible conclusion. The only condition is that your project is not geared towards financial profit, but pure artistic satisfaction.

If this sounds interesting, drop me a line and let's take it from there!

I am shooting the third episode of my independent comedy series THEPEOPLESCLUB and am casting people as (A) Burn victim counsellers (B) Burn victims(To be done with make up, real burn sufferers may also apply for what will be a completely respectful shoot) and(C) Arsonists and neo shriner arnarchists The lead burn victim, Norah, is a high school female of subtle charm and open innocence. The 10 or so Other less characterized burn victims hopefully cover the full anthropological spectrum in their sum. APPLY NOW! Burn victim counsellers exude the closed off clerical vibe, with an emphatic sincerity deviod of expanse beyond the slogan realm. Apply....now Arsonists wear masks and enjoy home invasions of burn victim counsellers. Must be flame retardent(ha) I will shoot mostly during October in the marin and san francisco area on HDV. Since I am a performer in the Composition as well as Director I can always use behind camera help and so forth. Get in touch with me for the script txt, information, or cries of interest, I'll be around

I am building a Garage Studio for 3d. I will be using open source software such as Blender to cut my costs down. I was just fishing for some thoughts on what your idea studio would have in it?

Currently I have two olders Macs, one is set up just for rendering. A few good monitors, and a laptop editing station. My ideal studio would have a G5 for each teammember, the largest Studio displays I could get, and an X-Server for rendering.

What would your ideal studio have?

Hey, does anyone know of any internships in texture design (preferably in lightwave) in the lower Puget Sound area of Washington state? I'll be getting my degree in a couple of months and need to complete 250 hours of internship before then.

Thanks,

I am currently producing a short piece (less than 2 minutes) that I would like to have aired on Current TV. I have a rough animatic version that needs tweaking. I am looking for someone who can help me with storyboarding or help with animatics for the last part of the piece. If the piece airs, I could split the $500 with whoever works with me on this. In the end, I would like to have a finished piece with 2d and 3d animation. Email me if you want to go over the details.

thanks!

Hello Friends!

Now after recovering from a two month avalanche of writing jobs, I'm taking on new clients for script and book work.

My company is WRITERSSOURCE.NET. I do a wide variety of creative and business writing, but my best work is done analyzing/doctoring books and scripts. You can check out my bio and testimonials from happy customers at WRITERSSOURCE.NET.

In addition, the last two months have been phenomenal! I finished my modern day fairy tale "London Fog" and became a finalist at the International Moondance Film Festival with it. London Fog is getting a lot of positive attention.

I've done six freelance writing jobs, one being an ongoing project whereas I'm developing a great screenplay. (The story has already been bought by a production company.)

I just became an assistant director (and possibly a co-producer) of Star Trek Voyages episode "World Enough and Time", written by Marc Zicree and Michael Reaves, and starring George Takei - pretty dang exciting.

I am also producing/writing and directing a documentary with Marc Zicree on the making of New Voyages called "Elvis Made Me Do Star Trek". (If you look at their website you'll get the Elvis reference.) Not to shabby!

If you need any more convincing go to the website and check me out! Otherwise, please don't hesitate to e-mail or call.

Have a super-great-wonderful-summer!

Importance of Storyboarding

I just wanted to bring up one of the evils of filmmaking...storyboarding. Unless you're an illustrator with a love for sketching, storyboarding a film (animated or otherwise) can be a daughting task. I worked on a 4 minute animated short and made about 20 pages for storyboards. Its almost as if you draw a graphic novel of your film before you make it.

Although I'm not a fan of drawing, I can't deny how much the process has helped me.

Karl Holt
Darkline Entertainment
UK

© Karl Holt and Creativecow.net. All rights are reserved.

Article Focus:
If you are unfamiliar with 3D camera tracking software, SynthEyes 3-D Camera Tracker is a tool which will analyze moving 2D video footage by tracking points of reference frame by frame. From this, it can reproduce an accurate 3D camera which matches the properties and movement of the real-world camera you used to shoot the sequence. In this review/tutorial, Karl Holt gives us an indepth look along with a lot of tips for using the software.

What does this do for us? Well once you have an accurate 3D camera track, you can bring this data into software such as 3DSmax and place 3D objects or characters within your filmed scene. You can completely reconstruct a scene, build 3D set extensions, insert 3D rain, or replace background footage and elements; all with moving footage. Ever wondered how they made the T-rex run through a moving camera shot in Jurassic Park? Or placed a CG ocean around a boat shot only against green screen? Or added thousands of troops running across the shores to attack the enemy? In short, it opens up a whole new level of visual effects possibilities that were previously limited to big production houses. Even if you do not own an application such as 3DSMax, this data can also be brought into compositing applications such as After Effects and Combustion where you can still use this camera information to achieve complex effects with 2D layers.

If you’ve heard of or used Boujou, Matchmover or PFtrack, you’ll know that the cost of this software has always been high. The current version of Boujou has a list price of $10,000. SynthEyes comes in a touch cheaper at $350. So what does it offer us for this price? And is it any good?

The rules of camera tracking.

Planning your shot, and understanding what can and cannot be tracked is essential before you even try to film a sequence. Waving the camera around blindly in a 360 degree circle and expecting SynthEyes to solve it, is not going to work. There are a few things you should consider :

Firstly there must be sufficient references or features within the scene. So filming a white room isn’t so clever (unless you have markers all over it which you can remove later in post). There needs to be significant depth and perspective change of these features in order to produce a good camera solution. There needs to be an abundance of features over the course of the whole shot, not just part of it; and they need to be as spread out as much as possible within the image to produce the most accurate track.

Where is the 3D object going to be? It helps enormously if you have features that SynthEyes can track around this point. Normally during an effects shot you will be following a 3D character in a scene or focussing on the inserted object. These areas need good tracking references around them to get ‘locked’ tracks. So always have a particular shot in mind when you shoot your footage and what the 3D component will be. It’s easy to overlook it but 3D space consists of 3 axis (X,Y,Z); so make sure you have good references spread out on the ground plane and some on a perpendicular plane.

Features

What is a feature? A feature is a consistent trackable point in your image sequence which exists for quite some time. You could choose the top of a pole, a leaf on the ground, an indicator on a car, the corner of a building, a mark on the wall. You get the idea. Try to pick out areas which are small, definable, and have a high contrast in relation to their immediate surroundings. Remember what you are trying to do is build a 3D approximation of your scene through single point markers. So what you should not choose are features that will change due to camera perspective. For example, an intersection where one object crosses another, a highlight which moves across glass, or an object that moves in the frame (a swaying branch). All of these will produce markers that do not actually represent any static locked property in your scene. For environments that do not contain many features it is common to add track markers or tennis balls to help with the tracking process. Of course these need to be cloned out later.

Tracking with SynthEyes

On opening SynthEyes I've chosen to import a 10 second sequence which I shot handheld in the forest. It guesses the setting correctly (PAL DV, 25fps, progressive, 250 frames).

You can customise the input here and SynthEyes can work at any frame rate and any resolution. I accept the default settings. Once it's imported, clicking play in the transport controls buffers the shot into RAM.

Click on the graphic above to view larger image

SynthEyes main work area contains 4 viewports, similar to that of a 3D application. Front, Left, Top and Camera. You can play the sequence by using the transport controls or by scrubbing in the time bar. At the top of the screen are access to several function panels. When active the left hand side of the screen changes to reflect the controls within that panel

Click on the graphic above to view larger image

SynthEyes has a 'Full Automatic' tracking mode which is available from the ‘summary’ panel. This is very useful for smooth shots, dolly/streadicam/crane etc. SynthEyes will try to track features itself, then take the best ones and produce a solution from this. It’s a one click process. However, you’ll find more often than not that automatic tracking just wont cut it for those hand held or slightly blurry movements you might throw at it. All it takes is for a few auto trackers to lose their references and you’re solution is down the pan. For the purpose of this tutorial (I couldn't cover everything SynthEyes is capable of) we will focus on solving a manually tracked, handheld, fixed lens DV shot. Why? Hand held is much harder to track, and you will learn all the basics of camera tracking and solving from it.

Although we are not going to go ‘Automatic’ in this tutorial, you can use automatic tracking to get a head start with your shot. There are two ways to do this; open the 'Features' panel, make sure ‘Link after blips’ is ticked and click the button 'Blips all frames'.

SynthEyes processes the whole shot and tracks hundreds of features.

Next click the 'Peel All' button. This takes all of the automatic tracked references and keeps only the best ones; turning them into tracker points which are used in the solution.

Unlike 'Full Automatic' it hasn't tried to produce a solution just yet. Alternatively in the summary panel you could have clicked 'Run Auto-tracker', this will do the same process as blipping and peeling, but in one-click. It’s helpful to do the former process the first time to understand what SynthEyes is doing. You don’t need to click ‘Run Auto-tracker’ if you have already blipped and peeled.

Expand the camera view to fill the screen by clicking 'Quad' in the drop down menu of the toolbar and changing this to ‘Camera’. Now go to the 'Tracker' panel, you will see diamonds in the viewport representing the automatic tracked points that SynthEyes has kept.

Click on the graphic above to view larger image

Scrub the timeline to see if these features stay locked to the object they are tracking. Although SynthEyes keeps the best tracks it does not always mean these are accurate as a feature may jump to a similar looking feature close to it by mistake. On a ground full of similar leaves this is likely to happen during fast movements. This is where it becomes obvious why we didn't use 'Full Automatic'. In a hand held shot some of the trackers will jump around; if you had calculated a solution with these trackers then you would be waiting a long time for a solution that just won’t work. Select the faulty trackers if there are any and delete them. Sometimes this is all you will need to do, you are ready to solve. In my shot SynthEyes has placed a lot of tracker points on the floor but none in the distance. Few are above the ground plane. This is unlikely to give a great solution at present.

Now I will add a more even distribution of tracker points to help SynthEyes produce an accurate track. Scrub through your sequence to find a suitable tracking point (remembering the rules described earlier). In the tracker panel click the 'create tracker' button (which looks like a wand) and then click over the point you wish to track in the viewport.

Once you do this the feature you are tracking will appear in the tracker window and 2 red boxes will appear in the viewport.

An important thing to remember here is to create the tracker at the point you want it to exist; scrub to check the timing of the feature before you create the tracker. This may sound obvious but it’s a common error to create a new tracker midway through the sequence when it is also in shot at the start too. If the reference only comes into shot at frame 60, then create it on this frame and track forwards. If the reference exists for the whole shot, then create the tracker on the first or last frame, tracking forward or backwards.

In my example I'm tracking a piece of blue tape which I put onto a tree trunk. This stays in my shot until frame 125, so this should be a good reference. Once I have placed the tracker on frame 0 all I have to do is click 'play' in the transport controls for tracking to begin. But first I change the tracker type to 'white spot on dark background'.

This will help it to track my marker easier. There are different options to use here which depends on the type of reference you are tracking. Some features will track better using 'symmetry' mode. So I continue to track my marker, and at frame 35 I lose my tracker. SynthEyes can not track this properly and the marker goes flying off the screen.

If SynthEyes loses it's tracking feature it displays these frames as a light blue coloured segment within the time bar; a feature matched correctly frame to frame is shown as dark blue.

One way to stop this from happening is to increase the size of the search area of the tracker. You will notice that the tracker has two squares. The inner square is the area you are tracking; the outer square is the search radius for the feature. With handheld shots simply increasing the range in the 'search' box is good enough to track a reference more accurately.

By how much depends on how shaky the camera movement is, so I increase my search area by 2 or 3 times in both directions. Then I scrub back to frame 30 or until you can see your reference in the tracker window again, and press play. Now my tracker is re-tracked from frame 30 onwards. It stays locked to my reference up to frame 125.

If increasing the search area still produces an incorrect track you can try to change the tracker type to another search type (symmetry instead of spot). You may have to place keyframes each time you lose the reference. Go back to the frame in which you lost the tracker and reposition it over the reference again. Be careful that when you reposition a tracker you do not create a new one by clicking in the viewport if you miss the edge of the tracker (it happens often!). I find it useful to click and drag in the tracker window, this will move the existing tracker and you know you haven’t created a new one accidentally. Alternatively you can click and drag the 'Pos' spinners to move the tracker.

From here, press play to track again, and press stop to reposition the tracker when SynthEyes loses it. In the time bar these keyframes can be seen as black markers. Keep repositioning and tracking as necessary.

A useful feature here is 'Preroll by Key Smooth'. This feature tries to smooth out the transition of your newly placed keyframe with the preceding good track points. Turning this on in the 'track' menu and then entering a value of 3 in the 'Key Smooth' box will mean that syntheyes will smooth the new keyframe out over the 3 previous frames.

Too much smoothing may produce inaccurate tracks, especially on a handheld shot. If you are accurate with your tracker placement you may not need this feature at all. However on smooth dolly/crane shots it may be beneficial to have this feature enabled to avoid a sudden glitch when you re-position the lost tracker.

I have a problem. After frame 125 my tracker goes behind another tree and the feature box loses its reference and flies around the screen again.

If this occurs, scrub back to the last frame at which the feature was locked. You can use the tracker window as a guide, or look at the where the segment has turned light blue in the time bar. Now push the 'enable/disable tracker button'.

This will delete the frames after this point so they are not taken into the solution. If a tracker is disabled on a frame then the tracker window does not display the content of the tracker and instead shows a pink colour. If at any point your reference comes back into shot you can scrub to that frame and re-enable the tracker by pressing the 'enable tracker' button again, or click and drag in the tracker window to activate it. Now press play to track from here onward. Do not create a new tracker for a feature that disappears and comes back into shot later; you will end up with 2 separate trackers which is not ideal. Enabling and disabling the tracker is the best way. Always look at the blue bar in the time controls to see which frames the tracker is active for, and to see if it is accurate on these frames.

Most bad solutions can be put down to a few rogue frames where a tracker has lost its feature. Scrubbing and looking in the viewport will show you if the tracker is indeed locked to the feature. Using the tracker window is not always the best way as it could jump to a similar looking feature which you won’t notice. Once your tracker is done push the 'lock tracker' button to prevent further tampering of this tracker.

This is important as SynthEyes can track multiple trackers at once; so if you do not lock it you may end up tracking it again incorrectly when you add a new tracker. When trackers are locked the 2 red boxes will disappear and be replaced as a box with a crosshair.

That’s the basic process of tracking features. There are other tools to help you track your features. You can track a feature backwards through a shot by first clicking the ‘track backwards’ button in the tracker panel.

And then reversing the direction of the play controls in the time bar.

Click on the graphic above to view larger image

Now when you press play the feature will track in reverse which can be useful for features which exist mid-way through a shot to the end. You can filter/smooth the results, and you can delete or create as many trackers as you like. SynthEyes recommends a minimum of 6 trackers present at a time for a shot. In my experience you should use as many as you need; the more you have evenly distributed the more accurate the solution will be. I normally run an automatic track, delete the bad trackers, and then add as many manual trackers as needed. Give SynthEyes references which are as close to, and as far away from the camera as possible. Also choose points that stay on screen for a long time and not just a few frames. Remember you will be able to see some great tracking references that SynthEyes will not see automatically.

Click on the graphic above to view larger image

Solving

Once you have enough trackers distributed through your shot and placed at different depths in your scene, you are ready to solve. This is pretty simple. Go to the solver panel and click the 'Go!' button.

SynthEyes can normally produce a solution in a few minutes. It is very fast. If it starts to take very long then it could be a sign that it cannot solve correctly. Look out for the RMS error in the optimization window, typically this is very low (0.003). If it's high then the chances are SynthEyes is going to report a bad solution. You'll need to go back and look for rogue trackers.

Click on the graphic above to view larger image

Once it is solved you will see yellow crosses appearing in your viewports. These are true 3D points within a 3D environment. Scrub the timeline. If they appear to be locked to your references then you have done a good job.

Look in the Solver panel at the text marked 'Error'. Ideally you're looking for the error to be between 1 and 2 hpix. This is the norm for a good 3D solution, but I have had decent solutions between 2 and 3 hpix also.

Remember it's never going to be perfect due to lenses, distortion and tracking accuracy of the features. Perhaps shooting 35mm with a whopping lens and flat tracking markers in your scene will produce a smaller error, but for most purposes this error is fine.

The only way really to check whether you have a good solution is to put some geometry in the scene. Before you do that you need to set-up a co-ordinate system. By that I mean orienting your scene so that the ground plane of the image sequence lines up with the ground plane you place your geometry on. There is a whole process in the SynthEyes manual about setting up a co-ordinate system which I won't go into here. In my experience I have had great success 'eyeballing' the co-ordinate system myself, and this is how you do it. Click the 3D object panel and change your viewports to 'quad'.

Here you can play the sequence again and view the path of the camera in any of the viewports. Hopefully it looks good.

Click on the graphic above to view larger image

In my view I have a cluster of trackers on the leafy ground. I can simply go into my ‘3D Objects’ panel and click the button 'whole'. Now clicking the 'rotate' or 'move' button I can select the camera in the viewports and rotate and move it until all the ground points line up with the ground plane (the 'whole' button makes sure the entire scene is rotated and not just the camera). The same process can be achieved with relatively few ground markers. The more spread out they are the more accurately you can line up the ground plane.

With a bit of tweaking and rotating in different viewports you should be able to set-up your co-ordinate system easily. Use your mouse wheel to zoom in and out of viewports to make sure your points are accurately lined up with the ground plane. This is another good reason to have tracker markers on your ground, it really helps you to set-up the co-ordinate system. It would be nice if you could select some tracking points and change them to a different colour, so they stood out from the cluster when you were rotating your camera and aligning; but this is a minor quibble. Next click on the 'create object' button and in the top viewport place whatever objects you like (boxes, cylinders, spheres, humans) in your scene.

Use the scale and transform tools to move and position the objects to the ground plane.

Switch back to camera view and play your shot.

You should see if the objects are locked to the ground. If there is some slight object sliding during playback you may find it's something simple like the object is just a few inches above the ground plane. As our scene is not a totally flat floor, some fine-tuning may be required. This is where eyeballing the co-ordinate system is helpful as you can raise, lower or rotate the scene to fine-tune the position of the ground plane. Equally the object may be sitting on a raised part of the floor which would cause object sliding. This is another reason to have tracking points not just on the ground, but at the points where you want to insert the 3D objects. You can easily line up the 3D object to sit on top of the tracker.

Click on the graphic above to view larger image

If you have a more serious error like a spike or judder in the camera movement; the chances are some trackers are not correctly locked and are producing the error. Check the camera path in one of the viewports, if there is a spike in the path then there are probably loose trackers on that frame, or not enough trackers. There are lots of options to help you spot these spikes, such as camera and tracker graphs.

It may be the case that you just need more trackers. The 'Tracker Bars' panel is very useful for seeing an overview of all the trackers and where problems might lie. It shows how many trackers exist at a certain point in time, and whether you need more. The areas where more trackers are needed are highlighted by a yellow vertical bar. Manual or supervised trackers are indicated by dark blue bars for correctly tracked references, and light blue for where it has lost that reference. It's easy to pick out the problematic trackers. Automatic trackers are represented by a series of black arrows.

Click on the graphic above to view larger image

From this information it’s clear that you need more trackers from frame 34 to 61. Also some of the trackers have light blue bars where they may have lost their reference and need to be checked. The good thing about SynthEyes is you can reposition, re-track, delete or add trackers at any stage in the process. You may need to give SynthEyes more depth perspective, or more tracker points around the inserted 3D object. Go back to the 'Tracker panel' to add more trackers and when you are done come back to the 'solver panel' and click 'Refine' from the drop down menu and 'Go!'.

If the Hpix error goes down, then you have increased the accuracy of the solution. Sometimes a glitch can be because of too many incorrectly tracked markers. If you spot a rogue tracker, simply click on it and delete it, and then you can ‘Refine’ the solution once again. When you are ready you can export this solution to a variety of 2D and 3D programs. You can click on trackers and name them in the tracker panel, which is very helpful especially if you want to match up 3D elements with a specific object in your shot.

I am naming the trackers around the base of a cluster of trees so I can locate that tracker in my 3D application, and insert geometry accurately. Basic objects you create in SynthEyes such as Boxes, cylinders and spheres will carry over into 3DSMax as well as the naming of any trackers.

Click on the graphic above to view larger image

Conclusion

I have not covered many of the features within SynthEyes. It can track camera zooms (something which even Boujou could not do until the latest version). You can track moving objects in your scene (lets say you had a moving bus you wanted to track separately and add a CG character on top of it), tripod shots, roto splines for removing elements from an automatic track, lens distortion compensation, multi-shot tracking, it can work at any resolution and frame rate and it can even work out the position of the sun in the scene from the shadows.

On top of this technical support is nothing short of excellent. Before I even purchased the product I e-mailed a barrage of questions to Mr Andersson. He answered all of them and helped me over the next few days to get to grips with this software very quickly; and I hadn't even purchased it. The only down side I can think of are the minimal tutorials in the online help, they only cover basics of the software, leaving you to read the rest of the manual like a glossary.

Having not used any of the other tracking software for a long time, I cannot really give it a fair comparison to the latest versions from the competitors. The last time I used Boujou was version 1 and it didn't solve anything I threw at it. However, what I can say is that SynthEyes does everything I want it to, and more. It's simple to use, very fast, very intuitive, and lets you solve the most complex of shots with flexibility and ease. For $350 this software is practically free when you take into consideration what it can do. What's great about it is that it's affordable enough for people who are curious about this kind of work to get into it, and it’s certainly robust enough for a production environment too. It has been used on many shots for big budget feature films with great success where other camera trackers failed. I can now offer my clients a level of work previously dedicated to the larger production houses. I really don’t know what you get out of Boujou for an extra $9,650 but I won’t be splashing out the cash to find out.

I give SynthEyes 3-D Camera Tracker 4.5 COWs.

I have experience in film production, and now I would like to venture out into animation. There are some things that cross over, like obtaining story and music rights, dealing with voice actor contracts, releases and SAG, and finding the financing. But I really need to get an understanding into the production aspect.

What kind of time is involved, what kind of production talent is needed and what kind of cost to expect (and where can I cut corners, being an independant production).

If anyone has experience and are willing to share or can recommend books, people, websites, etc. that I can utilize, I would greatly appreciate it.

New Avenues for Screenplays

Hello, everyone. Check out the below excerpt from an article in the March issue of Script Magazine. (And you might want to check out the whole article, as it has some other good ideas about different avenues for getting you script seen.) If you are at all interested in having Platinum Studios see your script, go to www.screenwritersubmissions.com (a small website we've set up to hopefully answer all your questions) and check out our program there or check out our main website at www.platinumstudios.com. Is this self-promotion? A bit, but I hope not enough to get me banned from this group. I really just wanted to share this opportunity with you all, as we're eager to find great writers. Also, this is really not just a post and run. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, I'll be around here from now on.
COMICS NOT A LAUGHING MATTER
From
GET OFF YOUR BUTT AND OFF THE SCRIPT STACK
By John Scott Lewinski
Script Magazine Vol. 12, no. 2
March 2006

While so many film projects are being jump-started from magazine articles, books and especially comic books, some writers might look to translate their feature script to a more comic-friendly format.
Platinum Studios is an entertainment company with an active stake in more than 2, 500 characters that have appeared in hundreds of millions of comics in 25 languages in more than 50 countries. According to Lee Nordling, Platinum's executive editor, the company's library is continually expanding through its comics acquisition and publishing program.
"I feel terrible for screenwriters who have to struggle just to get an industry exec to read what they write, " Nordling said. "I also can't imagine how many talented writers this process wastes per year. Platinum's own unique niche in Hollywood is to adapt from comics that have been previously published or that we will be publishing (or financing for publication). Studios understand that we draw on a different talent pool than more traditional production companies, a talent pool that includes a lot of new, talented writers.
"Where this has added value for us is that if the development of an adaptation of a comic falls through, we always have the source material with which to begin a new adaptation. This is much more difficult to do when a group is developing a project as an original screenplay and the direction for that screenplay needs to change. We prefer to develop from the comics medium as we believe that gives a property a life and history in an existing marketplace and offers a potential producing partner or studio a glimpse into the original vision of the story."
Nordling added a personal note: "I think it's cool for writers to have a completed story for the public to read which more closely reflects their original visions than most films are able to (due to the increasingly collaborative nature of film and television). "Anybody who looks at our web site can see that we have properties set up all over town-there's really quite a laundry list, so I recommend people check out our Platinum Studios News section on our site at Platinumstudios.com."

I am a stills photographer looking to branch into filmmaking. I have made a couple short aminated loops using still images in Photoshop/Image Ready, like the one on this link...

http://www.munkyhaus.com/gal_muses_pre.html

I would like to make longer more linier segments and I'm guessing that there is a better program in which to do this. Flash has been suggested but I'm would love to hear some more input from animators and filmmakers.

thank you for your time,

As I was animating it, I was trying give it a "saturday morning cartoon that had characters too creepy and inappropriate for children" theme. Here's the link:

Wanted by top studios: Future animators

By Janet Kornblum, USA TODAY

GLENDALE, Calif. — The lights are dimmed, the shades are drawn, the computer screen is on and Dave Walvoord, Xiao Zhang and Han Lei are staring at a porcupine butt.
Specifically, this porcupine butt belongs to an animated character in DreamWorks Animation's upcoming movie Over the Hedge. And Walvoord, a computer graphics supervisor, is in his office working with two of DreamWorks' newest employees — recruited straight out of college as part of a new DreamWorks educational initiative. Their job: to light the scene so the motion of the quills looks just right.

Animation is not what it used to be.

Where cartoons of yesteryear, like Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse, were once hand-drawn in two dimensions, movie hits such as The Incredibles (Pixar) and Shrek 1 and 2 (DreamWorks) are painstakingly designed, modeled, rigged, surfaced and lighted by teams of animators who have to be as artistic and creative as they are technological. Studios are constantly developing new technology to bring out details: Fur can rustle with the wind, skin can now almost glisten like the real thing (even if it does happen to be green). And porcupine quills can now bristle.

Studios such as DreamWorks Animation, Disney Animation and Pixar look to the top colleges and universities for the next generation of animators. Several companies have recruitment and other programs; Disney Animation, for instance, has a summer internship in the technology department.

Last year, in an effort to both recruit new animators and make sure colleges had the right kind of curriculum to turn out high-quality professionals, DreamWorks initiated a program in which employees go into classrooms to either teach or critique students' work, depending on the needs of the school.

So far, they've been in seven top schools in the USA and Canada, including San Jose State University, Ohio State University in Columbus and Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Fla. It also has programs at other schools, says Marilyn Friedman, who runs DreamWorks' outreach program.

The result: this year the program yielded a crop of 18 students who are now full-time employees, including Zhang, 30, and Lei, 34, both natives of China and graduates of Texas A&M University in College Station.

"Our ambition is for that number to get bigger and bigger and to happen year in and year out," DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg told a group of educators who visited the DreamWorks campus recently to discuss the pilot program. "It's working."

Collaborations in which professionals go into universities to share their craft are not new. But in times of tight budgets, some schools rely on it.

By Bob Riha, Jr., USA TODAY
Kathy Altieri, a DreamWorks art designer, left, reviews artwork with Ali Kaplan, 27, at the Pasadena Arts Center in Pasadena, Calif.

"We need this kind of collaboration for our program to fly," says Courtney Granner, a professor in the school of art and design at San Jose State. Classes also help students keep up; even at the best schools, professors can't give the same up-to-the-minute information that working professionals can.

"There is such a transition in the entire field," says Ali Kaplan, 27, of Stilwell, Kan., who hopes to go into animated movies and is taking a course in visual design from DreamWorks employees at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Calif.

DreamWorks also benefits. "You can find a lot of good people and a lot of OK people," says John Tarnoff, head of outreach and artistic development. "But it's always difficult to find, really, the best. I think this program helps widen the net and helps us find people earlier who are going to develop."

Today's computer animation is getting more competitive, according to a recent report by analyst Katherine Styponias at Prudential Equity Group. Competitors include Pixar, LucasFilms, Twentieth Century Fox Studios, Disney and Miramax.

And there have been signs of slowing DVD sales. DreamWorks — along with Pixar — recently lowered earnings estimates after failing to sell as many DVDs of Shrek 2 and The Incredibles as projected. (DreamWorks reports its earnings today.)

But in the classroom, the long-term future looks hopeful.

On a recent August night, Kathy Altieri, production designer for DreamWorks' upcoming Over the Hedge, taught the 13th week of the 15-week course on visual development at Art Center. She gave career tips and detailed critiques of their work, offering advice on lighting, color and composition to create the most dramatic effect.

"For me, personally, it forces me to hone my craft. From a studio standpoint, it completely focuses our energies and the students' energies in the same direction."

For Solim You, 28, a student in her class, having teachers who currently work in the field means getting to tap into their knowledge.

"What they're doing is what I want to do," she says. "It's my dream."

Pixar at MoMA NYC!!

Pixar: 20 Years of Animation
December 14, 2005–February 6, 2006

Film and Media Gallery, Titus 1 Lobby Gallery, Titus 2 Lobby Gallery, and throughout the first floor

In keeping with the Museum’s long tradition of presenting animation, this is the most extensive gallery exhibition that MoMA has ever devoted to the genre. Featuring over 500 works of original art on loan for the first time from Pixar Animation Studios, the show includes paintings, concept art, sculptures, and an array of digital installations. These works reveal the intricate, hands-on processes behind Pixar’s computer-generated films—including Toy Story, A Bug’s Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, and numerous shorts. The exhibition also includes a complete retrospective of Pixar films. Demonstrating the symbiotic relationship between traditional and digital media pioneered by the studio over its twenty-year history, Pixar: 20 Years of Animation is a tribute to the artists whose work has reinvented the genre.

The Yoshiko and Akio Morita Gallery features the world premiere of two media pieces that embody the intersection of art and science that distinguishes computer animation. Artscape, a widescreen projection created by artist/director Andrew Jimenez and sound designer Gary Rydstrom, invites viewers to experience, in the context of a digital installation, much of the handcrafted art shown elsewhere in the exhibition. Zoetrope is a dynamic installation, modeled on pre-cinema technology, which rotates character sculptures under a strobe light to simulate continuous motion.

Hi!

I build these two sheets last night, since I'm an animator I've build the shotplanning sheets to fit my needs.

It's a storyboard sheet and a shotplanning sheet. The shot planning sheets contains a animation process section wich is based from how I aproach animation. My guess would be that people might wanna adjust that area them selfes to get it to fit their workflow.

I suppose every one is familiar with a storyboard sheet and the purpose of using it, though the shot planing sheet might be a new idea to some. The basic idea sis to use this sheet to keep track of where in production you are on that specific shot and what resources you need for that shot. It's my experience that it saves alot of time to use these kind of sheets to realy save time and sanity on a production.

Stop-Motion Newb?

I'm just learning stop-motion on my own, and have got as far as a storyboard and some of an animatic. The time has come for me to start modelling the characters, and for experimentation purposes I've bought some run-of-the-mill plasticene to practice with. My question is that when I'm ready I'm wondering what kind of materials to work with. I've had Van Aken clay suggested to me but can't seem to get it in Toronto (or order it online for that matter), and am wondering what other oil based clays might do the trick?

My second question is about the wireframe armature, specifically what guage of what kind of wire should I look at getting that will yeild ok and not break too easily? What do you use? Any information would be so useful!

NEWBIE question - film cost?

Hey there! New to the group, and to the art of filmmaking!

I'm a professional artist and photographer looking to make the leap into filmmaking. While I'm sure most of my attempts will have to be with a DV cam, I was curious to the costs involved with using 35mm film.

The ratio is 90 ft of film per minute, correct?

How much does film cost (by the foot, I assume) and how much is processing (approximately)?

need shots for lighting demo reel

Hey everyone,

I'm currently working on a new lighting demo reel for myself and am asking if anyone has a shot or two I can light for my own reel. I will give you credit for the shot, of course, and will be happy to send you the rendered frames.

Please let me know if you have something I can use.

Thanks!
